Good Omnisphere 2 Presents

I want to add in my acoustic jazz trio some new sounds, and I think I really like the sounds and sound 'crafting' Omnisphere 2 presents.
The only problem for now that I have is (beside finding the funds!!) that I am a newbie.
I already have a RD-800, but it's quite heavy and since I first want to experiment, I guess I'll have to take something lighter to sessions !
I have a basic M-Audio midi controller that I used to put music into Sibelius.
How do I do to use Omnisphere in front of an audience ? Is this possible ?
1- Buy an audio interface.
2- Buy the Behringer BCR2000 USB/MIDI Controller in order to use it with the M-Audio bad keyboard or invest into the Akai MKP61 ?
3- Buy Omnisphere 2.
4- Buy a DAW (which one would be the best for my use?).
5- Experiment and so.. Do you think it is possible to map Omnisphere with a midi controller ?
As you can see, I'm very new to this world..
